National Archives AdministrationNational Archives AdministrationGeneral InformationChinese Name: 檔案管理局 Directions5 minute walk from Songjiang-Nanjing MRT station Exit 4 UsageThey allow you to request mostly post-1945 official documents from various archives around the country. The process is simple, but takes time. The office is usually not busy and the staff attends you well. After looking up the documents you want to request, write down the document numbers on the request form, and submit it to the counter. Since there are only few sources housed in the National Archives Administration, you need to wait for at least a week, usually 2-3 weeks, before a copy of the requested documents arrives. It takes more time if you request politically sensitive documents as they censor the names and other data. You receive an email or a call when they are ready. You can request the copy in a digital format as well. It seems you can file a request online as well.
