Association for Asian Studies
Description: AAS is, "a scholarly, non-political, non-profit professional association open to all persons interested in Asia. It seeks through publications, meetings, and seminars to facilitate contact and an exchange of information among scholars to increase their understanding of East, South, and Southeast Asia. It counts among its members scholars, business people, diplomats, journalists, and interested lay persons."
Council on East Asian Libraries
Description: This council, which publishes the Journal of East Asian Libraries focuses primarily on East Asian libraries in North America but has a wealth of information and links on their site, including links to information on travel grants, affiliated organizations, area study guides, their committees, and their journal.
