For your teaching pleasure, here<\/a> is the story of Iron Man Wang, from China Reconstructs<\/em>, Sept, 1977. I have a pile of old 70’s Chinese propaganda magazines that I scored when the University of Illinois East Asian Studies Center was tossing them out. I would have saved a lot more, but I assumed that piles of this cool old Maoist stuff would always be pretty much free for the taking all over. Foolish boy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I use some of these for student assignments, and this is a nice story of a hero worker that gets into a bit on conflict between different lines and the importance of Maoist enthusiasm. It should work well with Son of the Revolution<\/a><\/em>, which is the final book for this class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
