Special four-page bulletin: the Great Kantō Earthquake on September 1, 1923 destroyed the magazine's editorial rooms and printing presses. This reduced issue contains an announcement apologising for the interruption and appealing for subscribers, followed by a three-page account of the disaster — its devastation in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura and the Shōnan district, notable casualties, and early relief efforts. Regular publication resumed in November 1923.
