Zaiman Nichi-Man jinmeiroku, with 在滿主要機關職員表 (supplement to the 1936 edition of the Manshū nenkan) · 滿洲日日新聞社 (Manshū Nichinichi Shinbunsha), Dairen, November 1935

A pocket directory of about 3,270 Japanese and Manchurian (Chinese) residents of Manchuria in office or business as of 1 October 1935, issued as a supplement to the Manshū nenkan (滿洲年鑑) for 1936. The people's list (pp. 1–90) gives each person's posts, firm and address; Japanese names are in kana (gojūon) order and Manchurian names follow, ordered by the number of strokes. Military personnel are excluded. The second part, 在滿主要機關職員表 (pp. 91–108), lists the staff of the principal offices: the Japanese Embassy and consulates, the Kwantung Bureau and Kwantung Government, police, courts, schools, the Dairen and Port Arthur city offices, the South Manchuria Railway, the Manchukuo government ministries and provincial offices, city administrations, the Central Bank of Manchou, chambers of commerce and local committees, and a table of county heads and councillors (縣長參事官一覽) by province. Entries are given in Japanese with the old character forms as printed.

Everything in the two lists is transcribed; the title page, preface, contents and colophon are not. Each two-page spread was read once, from four half-page crops, by Claude Opus 5.5 (printed pp. 1–17) or Gemini 4 Argon (pp. 18–108), with no checking by eye. Unreadable characters are marked [?] (39 in all). In a test spread read by eye, Opus misread no names; Argon misread three of 73, choosing a plausible character where the print is unclear instead of marking it, so names on pp. 18–108 deserve a look at the scan. Entries running over from one spread to the next are joined; in the staff lists, 同 (same post as above) is written out with (同) after it.
