Only tables are transcribed; the running text, the map and the diagrams are not. Table pages were found from contact sheets by Claude Sonnet 5.5, which also marked tables printed across two facing pages; those were read as one table. Each table page was read once by Claude Haiku 5.5 from full-resolution crops, with no second reading and no check by eye (one table was spot-checked against the scan and agreed, except that a point printed as a thousands separator was written as a comma). Printed totals are checked automatically and differences noted; figures the model could not read are marked [?].
