All tables are transcribed: the small tables in the English text and the 127 numbered statistical tables (most printed once for 1907 and once for 1908, often across two facing pages, which were read as one table). Titles, headings and row labels are given in the English printed beside the Japanese. The Japanese version of the report bound at the back of the volume, whose tables duplicate the bilingual ones, and the running text are not transcribed. Each page or spread was read once by Claude Haiku 5.5 (text pages) or Claude Sonnet 5.5 (statistical tables) through the llm CLI, with no check by eye; three pages whose first reading was malformed were re-read by Sonnet. Unreadable figures are marked [?]. Although catalogued as a run of reports from 1878, this scan holds the 1907–08 report only.
