Every table is transcribed, including the small tables set into the chapter introductions (概説); the prose, the contents, the city indexes, advertisements and the publisher's list of publications are not. Each spread was read once by Claude Haiku 5.5 (simple city tables) or Claude Sonnet 5.5 (the city summaries, electricity, tramway, gas and water rate schedules and other text-heavy tables) from full-resolution crops, with no check by eye. Claude Sonnet 5.5 then re-read the italic per-capita and rate columns of the early tables (3 figures corrected), several tables with unreadable names or misplaced rows, and one batch read at too low a resolution. Unreadable figures are [?]; printed totals that do not add up are kept as printed and noted. Tables printed over several spreads were read in pieces and joined; where the left and right pages of a spread carry different columns for the same cities they are joined row by row, or, where the rows do not line up, given as separate parts. Frame p0298 repeats pp. 550–551 (p0300) and is not used.
