Every table is transcribed, including the small tables set into the chapter introductions and the city accounts; the prose, the contents, the city indexes, advertisements and the publisher's lists are not. Each table was read once by Claude Sonnet 5.5 (tables running over several spreads were kept with one reader) or Claude Haiku 5.5 (single-spread tables), from full-resolution crops, with no check by eye; two Haiku batches that stopped partway were redone by Sonnet. Unreadable figures are [?]; printed totals that do not add up are kept as printed and noted. Tables printed in pieces on separate pages (marked 頁へ續く) are joined in the book's reading order.
