Only tables and lists are transcribed; the running text (most of the book), the photo plates, the organisation chart and the folding map are not; the list of 府・島・郡 on the back of the map is included. Many figures are printed as tiny stacks of 一/二/三 strokes: where the grouping could not be read with certainty the cell is blank, and every figure changed in the check pass was confirmed by a second, blind reading or left blank. Printed totals that do not add up are kept as printed and noted. Some pages carry a reader's pencil marks; one figure hidden under a pencil circle is blank.
Note: In the early books added to this website, cells that are marked blank may be blank because the original was blank, or because the large language model extracting the table had difficulty in reading the cell. Read the transcription notes for each table and check the original source when in doubt.
