Running text is not transcribed: legal clauses (官制, 事務分掌), the tax-rate section (税率), 間島及琿春, the preface and contents, and the 歴代年號對照表 chronology; small inline tables in the 間島及琿春 text are included. Lists (officials, councillors, schools, post offices, police stations, companies, newspapers) are tables; the imperial household, grain-dealers' associations, exchanges and banks are on the directory page. Many figures are printed as tiny stacks of 一/二/三 strokes: where the grouping could not be read with certainty the cell is blank, and every figure changed in the check pass was confirmed by a second, blind reading or left blank. 手形交換高表 (p. 275) is almost entirely blank for this reason. Land distances keep the printed 「、」 between 里 and 町 (2、18 = 2里18町). The vegetable-crop table printed on p. 414 belongs to the agriculture chapter.
Note: In the early books added to this website, cells that are marked blank may be blank because the original was blank, or because the large language model extracting the table had difficulty in reading the cell. Read the transcription notes for each table and check the original source when in doubt.
