Only tables and lists are transcribed; the running text, photographs, maps, charts without printed figures, the contents and the index are not. The pages with tables were found from contact sheets and only those pages were read. Most scan images are two-page spreads. The inset table on the Port of Dairen fold-out is too small to read in this scan; most of its figures were read from the second copy of this report bound into the Internet Archive item of the 1929 report (leaf 700), and four remain unreadable. Printed totals that do not add up are kept as printed and noted; several recur unchanged from the 1929 report.
