All statistical tables in the report and its public health appendix are transcribed; the contents, the prose, the photographs, the maps and the collection of laws and regulations are not. Tables printed sideways were read from page images turned upright. Printed totals were re-added by the readers: totals that do not add up are kept as printed and noted. Figures that looked inconsistent with their totals were re-read by a reader who had not seen the first reading; the printed figure is kept wherever it was confirmed. The settled-account figures on printed p. 117 are faint show-through and could not be confirmed, so they are marked [?].
Note: In the early books added to this website, cells that are marked blank may be blank because the original was blank, or because the large language model extracting the table had difficulty in reading the cell. Read the transcription notes for each table and check the original source when in doubt.
