In keeping with tradition, here is the Tokugawa group project for this semester. I probably could have made more categories, but this should be enough. The rest of the class is pretty traditional.Any advice welcome!

Have you ever used Yamakawa Kikue’s Women of the Mito Domain as a teaching text? It’s very vivid, and complicates a lot of conventional wisdom about the samurai situation.
I did use that once, and it worked pretty well. It tends to slot in pretty late in this class, which makes it more of a problem.
