A beautiful hand-tinted picture postcard depicts the Belle Vue Hotel in its heyday. The hotel was one of the first Western-style hotels built in the Nagasaki Foreign Settlement. Although management changed many times over the years, the hotel stayed in business until finally closing in 1920. The site is presently occupied by the Nagasaki ANA Hotel Gloverhill.
