It was reported that, as the result of the hostilities that have broken out between Greece and Italy, the Greek Government issued orders directing all Greek ships to take refuge in ports of neutral countries, Great Britain, the United States, Holland, etc. At present there are dozens of Greek vessels chartered by Japanese firms, and carrying cargoes destined for Japan. The Foreign Office approached the Government of Greece through its Minister in Tokyo to cause these ships to continue their voyage to Japan. The Greek Minister

informed the Foreign Office today that his Government sent out instructions to all Greek ships to continue their voyage to Japan. The Foreign Office, reciprocating the friendly spirit displayed on the part of the Greek Government, has assured the Minister that the Greek ships will encounter no difficulties in leaving Japanese ports after unloading their cargoes.
