The Internet Archive copy is borrow-only: the scan links open the right page only while you have the book checked out there. No printed pages are missing from the scan. The Calendar for 1938 is transcribed month by month. The Chinese Who's Who (pp. 142–191) is on the Who's Who page; the 1937 summary of Sino-Japanese hostilities and the 1937 fires are on the Chronologies page. Laws, treaties, regulations and diplomatic documents are transcribed only where they contain tables or lists; numbered articles are prose. The Contents, indexes and advertisements are not transcribed. Very long tables (the Import Tariff, the railway obligations) are split into one table per printed page. Many printed totals do not add up; the figures are kept as printed and each table's notes say where.
