All tables are transcribed, including the small tables in the text of each chapter; the running text, photographs, the organisation chart, the eleven diagrams (graphs) and the folding railway map are not. Pages were found from contact sheets; tables printed sideways were turned upright before reading. Each two-page spread was read once, from whole-page and half-page images, by GPT-6.1 Sol (Codex) or Gemini 3.8 Flash (Antigravity), with no checking by eye; the readers re-added printed totals and noted those that do not reconcile. Long tables continued over several spreads appear as separate parts marked continued. Only one cell could not be read.
